A victim of severe sexual abuse, the Child Welfare Committee recommended Sangeeta (name changed) to stay at a hostel. Sangeeta is now living a new chapter in her life, and is gradually getting over her traumatic experience. Her family, which is staying in a house by the roadside in Kadumadanapally, does not have a toilet. The family needed the monetary support to build a toilet cum bathroom, in order to have privacy for the ladies of the house and maybe few more in the neighborhood. Joy Story extended a help worth Rs. 10,000/- for making the toilet.
Now Venkatalakshmi’s daughter who had gone into depression is back to her normal life. She no longer fears an abuse because of the comfort of using a toilet in her own house.
